Bond Wolfe was hired to refurbish the 5,700 square foot Annex, because of the consolidation of 4 parishes into one; the current parish offices were undersized for their needs (offices, meeting space, food pantry, and assistance for single mothers).
The concept Bond Wolfe developed was to restore some of the “Church-Like” aspects of the building, which had been lost in more recent renovations. New renovations included offices placed on the perimeter, with communal space in the middle; a niche with a cross was introduced on axis; 12’ ceilings were restored where possible.
By the use of sensitive materials, adequately sized rooms and natural lighting, Bond Wolfe was able to restore a functional building into something much greater, so that the Parish is able to serve their community.“Bond Wolfe Architects really listened to the “building-users” to investigate their needs and wants. This is just one of the areas where Bond Wolfe excelled. The staff at Holy Name of Jesus still comments on the convenience that Bond Wolfe created.”
