The design and construction of the Brentwood Police station began with the development of a departmental master plan of all departments within the City of Brentwood. The master plan evaluated the needs and objectives of each department, including work flow and adjacency needs, space requirements (public vs. private) and plans for future growth. Once developed, Bond Wolfe assisted the municipality in the implementation of the plan.
With vigilant planning and continuous budget assessment, the Police Department was able to acquire a facility that met their tight budget and scheduling requirements without sacrificing aesthetics and durability in the design. The state-of-the-art facility includes a dispatch and emergency operations command center, prisoner intake, processing and detention, offices and support spaces, sally port and meeting/conference rooms.“When the Department ran into some design problems, due to the lot size and budget constraints, the design team came up with some innovative ways to solve the problems and we ended up with a very functional and state-of-the-art facility.”
