MRH EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
MAPLEWOOD RICHMOND HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT
MAPLEWOOD, MISSOURI
The Reggio Emelia method of teaching was the vision for the expansion of the Early Childhood Center. This included additional classrooms, specialty multipurpose rooms, a library and an outdoor courtyard including an orchard and chick coop. The space was designed to encourage parallel learning, self discovery and exploration. Rooms are transformed depending on day to day activities. Each addition ties into the existing facility to create a seamless transition.
