FESTUS PUBLIC LIBRARY
FESTUS, MISSOURI
The conversion of an old A and P Grocery Store into the new Festus Library, completed without a bond or tax levy, provides this community with an adaptive reuse of an existing building. Featured spaces include expanded areas for the young adult and children’s programs and multipurpose rooms. Services included community engagement, fundraising, programming, feasibility study, interior design, site design and LIBRIS. Since the ribbon cutting, the Library has a 25% increase in patrons, added 600 families from outside Festus district limits and have increased passport fees by 40%.
