The renovation and addition to this Clayton residence created the open floor plan and communication with the outdoors so often missing in traditional early twentieth century homes. The small addition includes a mudroom with custom "cubbies" and breakfast room opening to a backyard patio through new French doors. The renovated kitchen, now flooded with natural light, has become the perfect gathering spot in the house. And a simple reworking of the rear stair, brings the family together by connecting the kitchen, the study and the lower level family room.
