To seamlessly tie each addition (one completed previously) of this 1930's Meritz and Young home into its original structure, many obstacles and challenges were overcome. The original home was internally reconfigured to provide a flawless transition into the newest addition. The newly designed kitchen was reconfigured to serve as the focal point of the interior space allowing for natural flow throughout each room.
While overlooking the new grand family room with its' detailed coffered ceiling, the kitchen also connects to an open air stair tower leading towards the lower level library as well as the upper level bedroom suites. The upper level consists of the master suite, two additional bedroom suites with a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom, along with a full laundry room. The lower level library opens to a restored sunken garden which is the backdrop to the exterior side entry.
Adjacent to the family room is a screened in porch and raised stone patio, both having a commanding view of the back yard and pool area. Furthermore, the addition includes an oversized two and a half car garage with a dog shower and pool changing room.
