Social distance viewing schedule
Following the latest Government advice, we are able to continue with viewing appointments. However, to help fight the spread of Covid-19 and to protect each other, it is essential that we all follow the necessary precautions #HandsFaceSpace.
Viewing a property is important if you are seriously considering buying property at auction as it will enable you to undertake your usual due diligence before bidding and exchanging contracts, but you must not attend unless you are in a position to buy.
Viewings are undertaken at your own risk, but your well-being and that of our staff and clients is of the utmost importance and it is therefore essential that viewings are conducted with safety in mind. Our staff are equipped with their PPE, hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes.
We continue to offer our new 360° video tours, where possible, giving you an insight in to the property from the comfort of your own home and before deciding if you want to view it in person. Visit the properties page to see all the lots and virtual tours we have available for our next auction.
If you are interested in any of our auction lots, please read our 10 step guide before attending a viewing in person.
1. View the 360° video tour & be in a position to buy
You must be in a position to buy a property and have viewed the 360° video tour (if available) to ensure you are definitely interested, before attending a viewing in person as this will limit the number of people who attend.
2. Check the viewing schedule
We include as many properties as possible on our viewing schedule with the pre-arranged times and dates listed in the catalogue, on our website, Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket. You do not need to make an appointment to attend these viewings, you can just turn up on the allocated times. Please arrive promptly as our staff will be at each property for up to 30 minutes before moving on to the next appointment.
3. By appointment
If a property is not on the schedule and the description states viewing by appointment, please contact us on (0121) 312 1212 to confirm the date and time to attend.
Unfortunately, not all properties are available to view, particularly investment properties or properties in serious/dangerous states of disrepair, video tours will also not be available for these lots which you purchase at your own risk.
If you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of Covid-19, you have come into contact with anyone who has or you have been advised to self-isolate by Test & Trace or the NHS Covid App, please DO NOT attend any viewing appointments for at least 14 days or until the end of your isolation period. If you are shielding or have been advised to self-isolate, then we would recommend that you do not attend a viewing appointment in person. In these circumstances you may wish to ask a relative, builder or surveyor to attend on your behalf.
5. Only 2 adults from the same household
Viewing parties are limited to 2 adults from the same household – no more than 2 adults will be allowed, and no children will be permitted to enter any of the properties.
6. Form a queue
For your safety there will be a queuing system outside the property. When you arrive, please form an orderly queue starting 2 metres from the front door and keeping 2 metres distance from other viewing parties.
7. Social distance
We will limit the number of viewing parties who can enter the property at any one time, everyone else should wait outside until advised it is safe to enter. Please keep 2 metres distance from other viewing parties at all times.
8. Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment)
For everyone’s safety, the wearing of facemasks and gloves is mandatory and you will not be able to enter the property without them.
9. Do not touch any handles or surfaces
All doors will be left open so you can freely move around the property, please refrain from touching any door handles, windows, cupboards or any surfaces. You must apply hand sanitiser, which will be available at the front door, before entering the property.
10. Follow-up questions
Following the viewing, please leave the vicinity of the property, in order that the next viewing party can enter. If you have any follow-up questions after your viewing, do not direct them to the member of staff at the property, please instead call our office on 0121 312 1212 and speak to an office-based member of staff.
Please follow these steps when attending a viewing as they are for everyone’s safety during these times. Our viewing staff have the right to refuse entry to any property if you fail to follow our procedures.
