Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

We are continuing to hold auctions and property viewings under the new lockdown rules – As it has been stated by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, that the Housing Market will stay open during lockdown 2!

Robert Jenrick tweeted : “Housing market update ahead of Thursday’s measures: Renters & homeowners will be able to move; Removal firms and estate agents can operate; Construction sites can and should continue; Tradespeople will be able to enter homes. ‘But all must follow the COVID safety guidance.”

In light of this we will be implementing stricter social distancing rules at our viewings during Lockdown 2.

We are asking everyone to please watch the property virtual tours before choosing to book a viewing. When attending in person viewings, please queue outside the property and follow the government’s social distancing guidelines.

You must wear PPE  – (mask and gloves) – If you attend without PPE you will be denied entry.

Due to the current restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, our auctions are now livestreamed via our website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.

Our traditional in-room auctions attract between 2,000-3,000 people at each event, so for obvious reasons we will not be able to go back to holding them in this way just yet.

However, we already stream our auctions live via our website so anyone can watch the auction from any device anywhere in the world.

Rather than having everyone mass gather at one auction venue, we will still hold the auction on a set time and date but behind closed doors. Our usual auctioneers will conduct the auction from our offices, with our staff being able to safely social distance from each other and stream the auction via the internet.

How do people bid?

The auction will still operate in the same way and prospective purchasers will pre-register, giving them 3 options to bid.

• By proxy – the auctioneer will bid on their behalf up to a maximum pre-set amount
• By telephone – a member of staff will bid on their behalf taking their instructions over the phone
• Via the internet – they are provided unique log in details to bid via a secure area on our website

We already offer these services at our in-room auctions, so they are all tried and trusted ways of bidding. Our remote bidding auctions since June have been a fantastic success, with record numbers in property entries, sales

Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next online auction will be livestreamed via the website at www.bondwolfe.com from 9am on Wednesday 9 December 2020, with remote bidding by proxy, telephone and internet only.

The deadline for entries is Friday 13 November and anyone with properties for sale should contact [email protected] or call 0121 312 1212.
