Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust quiz night raises £700 for University Hospitals Birmingham Charity – Children’s Appeal
This month, Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust hosted a successful and entertaining speed quiz, raising £700 for their chosen charity this year – the incredible University Hospital’s Birmingham Charity.
UHB Charity is an umbrella charity, made up of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, Heartlands Hospital Charity, Good Hope Hospital Charity and Solihull Hospital Charity.
They support patients, families and staff at their hospitals by providing added extras that are over and above those provided by the NHS.
Each year, the hospitals treat over 100,000 children with complex and life-threatening conditions
The aim of the children’s appeal was to transform the children’s areas across the three hospitals so that visiting children feel as comfortable as possible, minimising stress for their parents and the staff who treat them.
They also strive to make the departments as child-friendly, calm and colourful as possible.
On Thursday 12th October, the Bond Wolfe team gathered at the historic Roebuck in Birmingham City Centre for a competitive yet thrilling quiz, followed by Heads & Tails and a Charity Raffle, which all collectively raised £700 for the fantastic cause.
UHB Charity reported back: “This will enable us to fund 2 months’ worth of toys for Children receiving treatment as a well done for being so brave, or specially painted radiotherapy masks to make the experience of receiving radiotherapy a little less frightening for children with cancer. We would like to thank everyone who attended and the Bond Wolfe Charitable Trust for their continued support”.
