Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Properties in Malvern to be sold at auction including a rare opportunity to buy a shop in Malvern with a respected charity tenant and a potential apartment above is coming up at Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction at Villa Park on Wednesday 3 July.

The three-storey property at 59 and 59a Church Street lies in the centre of the much sought-after Worcestershire town, and comes with an attractive guide price* of £235,000+.

The shop at No. 59 is rented for £15,000 a year by The Shaw Trust, a multi-million pound charity that’s been there for more than 15 years, funding work that helps disabled and disadvantaged people into employment and independent living.

What were former offices above at No. 59a have full planning permission to develop as an attractive and spacious two-bedroomed apartment.

Ian Tudor, managing director of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “The is a great investment opportunity and comes with the benefit of a secure rent and approved potential to develop a great place to live or rent out for extra income in this popular town surrounded by beautiful countryside.”

The property is one of several from Worcestershire in what is Bond Wolfe Auctions’ third auction in a row to offer over 100 lots.

Another Malvern lot is a two-bedroomed, detached house at 9 Ranelagh Road which comes with an existing income of £540 per annum from a garage.

This property has a tempting guide price of just £150,000+ but needs complete refurbishment, although with gardens and a second garage it could also have development potential, subject to planning permission.

Other Worcestershire lots at the auction include a substantial mixed commercial and residential property at 1-3 Oxford Street in the centre of Kidderminster, with a guide price of £450,000+.

This three-storey building includes three sizeable retail units ranging in size and a pair of two-bedroomed apartments which enjoy a shared outside decking area.

Meanwhile, an end-terraced house in the North Worcestershire town of Stourport-on-Severn comes with a very competitive guide price of £9,000 to £14,000.

The two-bedroomed property at 13 Gilgal stands flush to the pavement, has gas central heating, double glazing, a garden and is within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Mr Tudor added: “These four properties in Worcestershire show the range of lots we have at our auction and are a great example of the choice we will be offering across the Midlands regions.”

Bond Wolfe Auctions only launched in January but has already been instructed on 350 properties this year.

Its first two auctions had an average success rate over 87% which has quickly established the business as the Midlands’ leading auctioneer in 2019.

There are 120 lots in the auction on Wednesday 3 July, and these can all be viewed here.

* Each property is subject to a reserve price which may be different from the guide price.
