Successful Cornish holiday home sale result in two more lots at Bond Wolfe’s next auction

As Brits increasingly enjoy their staycations, two more holiday homes on a 35-acre country park in Cornwall are appearing at Bond Wolfe’s next online auction on Wednesday 20 October.

The long leasehold holiday bungalows are at numbers 46 and 95 Hengar Manor, St. Tudy, near Bodmin, and have guide prices* of £35,000+ and £30,000+ respectively.

Both properties have access to the country park’s nine-hole golf course, tennis courts, fishing lake, swimming pool, popular bar and restaurant.

The pair of lots follow previous sales of Hengar Manor homes in recent Bond Wolfe auctions, with the last one with a guide price of £20,000+ selling for £55,000 at the company’s September auction.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive at Bond Wolfe, said: “Both previous lots from Hengar Manor received huge interest from bidders, reflecting the ongoing growth and popularity of the staycations market.

“This country park is a short drive from Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, with popular resorts like Polzeath with its beautiful beach just 13 miles and a 35-minute drive away.

“Although both properties are leasehold, there are 900-plus years unexpired on both, and they come fully furnished and will include any forward bookings.”

The property at 46 Hengar Manor is a two-bedroomed holiday bungalow with an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with integrated appliances.

The double bedroom and twin bedrooms both have built-in wardrobes, with a fully tiled bathroom with underfloor heating, while there is a private patio and allocated parking space outside.

The property is sold fully furnished and equipped, and while the current owners let the property privately, any new owner could either use the park’s letting service, or simply use the bungalow for their own holiday use.

The property at 95 Hengar Manor is also a two-bedroomed holiday bungalow that would be suitable for use as a family holiday home or as a furnished holiday let.

Its layout is similar, and it comes fully furnished, with allocated parking and will include any forward bookings.

Mr Bassi added: “The reach of our auctions now stretches everywhere from Cornwall to Scotland, with a wide range of properties to suit all buyers.”

The Cornish holiday homes are just two of a total of 188 lots that will appear in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which starts at 9am on Wednesday 20 October. The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.
