Catalogue live for our 50th auction as sales surpass £1.1 billion milestone
As we approach our 50th auction in May, we are set to surpass an impressive £1.1 billion in total sales since launching our auction division in January 2019.
Since our first auction in March 2019, we have sold 7,357 properties, achieving an industry-leading 90% success rate.
Over that time, our team has grown significantly, with staff numbers doubling, while we have also raised over £100,000 for charities and good causes across the West Midlands.
Our chief executive, Gurpreet Bassi, said:
“At the start of our second year, we faced the challenge of the Covid pandemic and had to pivot almost overnight to fully live-streamed auctions.
“Moving entirely online was new for both us and the wider auction market, but it has proven to be an incredibly successful transition.
“Over the past seven years, we have continued to invest heavily in our marketing, building a strong digital presence and audience, alongside issuing over 1,000 press releases promoting properties across the UK.
“We are now seeing strong engagement from buyers not just across the UK, but from Europe and further afield, with virtual tours and remote bidding now a key part of our auctions.”
We are proud to act for a wide range of clients, including local authorities, government bodies, housing associations and institutional investors, such as Birmingham City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, City of Wolverhampton Council, Walsall Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and West Midlands Police.
We have also remained committed to developing talent from within, with many of our team progressing through the business into senior roles.
Gurpreet Bassi added:
“We always say we are one big family, and over the years we have celebrated many personal milestones together — from weddings and new arrivals to first homes and career progression.
“I would like to thank all our staff, past and present, for their hard work and dedication, as well as our clients, partners and advisors for their continued support.
“As we reach our 50th auction, we look forward to the next phase of growth and embracing new innovations, including AI, as the market continues to evolve.”
Our 50th auction will take place at 8.30am on Thursday 14 May and will be live-streamed via our website, with remote bidding available by proxy, telephone or internet.
