Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

A large period property most recently used as a nursery on one of the main A-roads running through south Birmingham is appearing in Bond Wolfe’s auction next month.

The detached property at 117 Pershore Road in Edgbaston, which is to be sold on behalf of Birmingham City Council, will appear in the livestreamed auction on 13 July with a guide price* of £250,000+.

Ron Darlington, consultant director at Bond Wolfe, explained that the building could continue as a nursery, although it was also considered suitable for various other uses, including residential development, subject to planning permission.

The location of the property on the A441 is close to Calthorpe Park, and only a short walk away from Edgbaston Cricket Stadium.

Mr Darlington said: “This former children’s day nursery stands back from the road with gardens front and back, plus off-road parking available for three vehicles.

“You enter the property up five steps via a porch which leads into a hall and then has doors to an office, three rooms, a toilet, changing room, kitchen, pantry and utility area.

“On the first floor is a landing with a fire escape, two interconnecting rooms, an office, kitchen, staff room, two toilets, another office and storeroom.

“The property may be suitable for continuing its existing use as a nursery or may be suitable for alternative uses, including residential, subject to obtaining the necessary planning consents.”

The former nursery is just one of scores of properties appearing in Bond Wolfe’s auction which is due to start at 9am on Thursday 13 July.

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet.
