A substantial 1.6-acre cleared development site in north Birmingham is set to attract strong interest when it appears in Bond Wolfe’s next live-streamed auction on Wednesday 10 December.

The land, formerly home to Oscott Manor School on Old Oscott Hill in Kingstanding is being offered on behalf of Birmingham City Council with a guide price of £750,000+.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said:

“Oscott Manor School relocated to a new purpose-built site in Erdington in 2022, leaving the former premises surplus to requirements.

The original school buildings were demolished last year and the site has since been fully cleared, opening up a rare opportunity for future development.

This is a substantial vacant freehold site extending to approximately 1.61 acres (0.65 hectares), and we expect strong interest from developers and investors.

The land may be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to securing the necessary planning permissions.”

The sale forms part of Birmingham City Council’s ongoing disposal of surplus assets, creating new opportunities for regeneration across the city.

The gated site occupies a prominent position in Kingstanding, a popular residential district with excellent access to local amenities, nearby schools and major transport routes including the A452, A34 and M6.

The former Oscott Manor School site will be among the many lots going under the hammer at Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which will begin at 8.30am on Wednesday 10 December.

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website, with remote bidding available by proxy, telephone or internet.
