Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Largest auction in the Midlands this year which includes a bungalow near country lanes in south Birmingham with a guide price* of just £5,000+ is appearing in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction at Villa Park on Tuesday 10 September.

The auction will be the largest seen in the Midlands this year, with 140 lots going under the hammer.

Strong bidding is expected for the one-bedroomed property at 5 Larkhill Walk in Kings Norton, a short drive from the semi-rural village of Hollywood.

The mid-terraced bungalow has gardens, a sloped front pathway suitable for wheelchairs, a hall, reception room, kitchen, large storage cupboards and a wet room/toilet inside.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This bungalow needs some tender love and renovation, but its starting price will make it a popular lot for investors or families seeking to prepare somewhere for an ageing relative.”

Other potential bargains going under the hammer at the auction include a three-storey, mid-terraced house with four bedrooms at 108 Fifth Avenue in Bordesley Green, which has a guide price of £20,000+.

A two-bedroomed, semi-detached house at 102 Hasbury Road in Bartley Green has a guide price of £19,000 to £24,000, while a three bedroomed, end-terraced house at 1 Middleton Road in Kings Heath has a guide price of £25,000+.

Over in the highly sought-after location of Sutton Coldfield is a two-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 256 Highbridge Road in Boldmere, with a guide price of £39,000 to £44,000.

Mr Bassi added: “These are just five examples of properties with attractive starting prices that reflect they need modernisation.

“They are likely to result in fierce bidding from buyers keen on investment projects.”

These properties form part of the 140 lots going under the hammer in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next sale on Tuesday 10 September at 10.30am at the regular venue of the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC.

Bond Wolfe Auctions has already this year offered 350 lots, more than any other auctioneer in Birmingham. This includes properties across the East and West Midlands and as far afield as Wales and Scotland.

The first three auctions have raised nearly £39 million in sales – more than double its nearest competitor in the same period.
