Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Bond Wolfe has released details of one of its upcoming development opportunities in advance of the firm’s next auction on Thursday 15 September.

The property at 33 Alcester Road, Moseley, in Birmingham, is a substantial, double fronted six bedroom house in need of refurbishment, which may be suitable for development, subject to planning permission.

The vacant freehold semi-detached property is situated in the heart of Moseley village with good local transport links into Birmingham, including the reborn Camp Hill line into the city which has been announced by WMCA and will see Moseley train station reopen in the future.

It has a guide price* of £550,000+.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “This is one of those lots that offers a good investment with just the right timing to benefit from the revitalisation of this area that fast, frequent trains straight into New Street will bring.”

The house stands back from the road behind a driveway and foregarden and has three storeys, including a hall with cellar, two reception rooms, kitchen with pantry, and a WC on the ground floor. To the rear, there is a large garden.

The first floor has a landing area with storage, three bedrooms and a wet room/WC and separate WC. Similarly, the second floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom/WC, boiler cupboard and store cupboard.

The property currently has a gas fired central heating system, fire doors, mains smoke alarms and double glazing but requires significant upgrading.

Bond Wolfe’s September sale will be once again by livestreamed auction after research revealed that 95% of bids remained online when it held its first in-room auction in two years in July.

Bond Wolfe’s auction on 21 July saw 156 lots sold and more than £26 million raised in sales, with properties and bidders from London, the North East, North West and across the Midlands, and bidders also from the USA, South Africa and across Europe.

Mr Bassi added: “Our results from July show that demand for property continues to outstrip supply and it is still a great time to sell your property – with our live-streamed auctions being the ideal way to do this quickly and efficiently.”

Bond Wolfe’s next auction starts at 9am on Thursday 15 September 2022.
