Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

A large plot of land to be auctioned is prime for potential development in rural Derbyshire will appear at Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next auction in Birmingham on Tuesday 10 September.

The auction will be the largest seen in the Midlands this year, with 140 lots going under the hammer.

The parcel of freehold land of approximately 6.8 acres is accessed via a trackway known as Meadow Lane, off Repton Road, Willington, near River Trent and the sought-after town of Repton.

The property, which is a broadly rectangular shaped parcel of land next to fields, has a guide price* from £35,000 to £55,000.

Colin Totney, land and development surveyor at Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: “This plot of land presents a major opportunity for a developer to create prime residential or commercial properties, subject to planning permission.

“This area’s attractive location is just south-west of the village of Willington, about six miles to the north-east of Burton-upon-Trent and around eight miles to the south-west of Derby city centre.

“There are plenty of major roads, motorways and train stations in the surrounding area, as well as Repton with its public school and prime residential properties.

“This rare lot is already creating interest from potential buyers and we think there will be some competitive bidding on the day.”

Another interesting Derbyshire lot is a four-bedroomed, mid-terraced and double-fronted house at 175 Birchwood Lane in Somercotes, Alfreton, which has a guide price of just £50,000+.

This property is located around 2.5 miles from Alfreton town centre and is well placed for local shops in Somercotes along with the A38/M1 motorway.

It stands back from the road behind a long driveway and front garden, and has a garage, outbuilding and rear yard outside, also benefiting from gas central heating and double glazing.

This Derbyshire property and plot of land are just two of the 140 to be auctioned in Bond Wolfe Auctions’ next sale on Tuesday 10 September at 10.30am at the regular venue of the Holte Suite at Aston Villa FC.

Bond Wolfe Auctions has already this year offered 350 lots, more than any other auctioneer in Birmingham. This includes properties across the East and West Midlands and as far afield as Wales and Scotland.
The first three auctions have raised nearly £39 million in sales – more than double its nearest competitor in the same period.
