Traditional values, modern solutions

Do you have a property to sell or let?

Two vacant sites with development potential in desirable residential areas are being offered for sale on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in Bond Wolfe’s next live-streamed auction on Thursday 10 July.

The larger of the two is the former Parks Depot, located off Clopton Crescent in Kingshurst, near the eastern edge of Birmingham. Extending to approximately 1.2 acres, the site is listed with a guide price of £139,000+.

Also going under the hammer is the site of the former Jean Linton Hall, off Arlescote Road in Solihull, which carries a guide price of £95,000+.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said:

“Both sites are situated in established and popular residential locations, and we are pleased to be offering them for sale on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

We expect strong interest from developers and investors looking for redevelopment opportunities, subject to the necessary planning consents.”

Former Parks Depot, Kingshurst

This vacant freehold site includes a single-storey brick building and associated land. Positioned on a relatively level, rectangular plot, the site is accessed via a private driveway off Clopton Crescent and benefits from ample off-road parking.

The 1.2-acre site may suit a range of future uses including residential, educational, or community purposes (subject to securing planning permission). However, no guarantees or warranties are given with regard to planning consent.

Former Jean Linton Hall, Solihull

This cleared site was previously home to a scout hut used by the 2nd Solihull Scouts Group, who renamed it Jean Linton Hall after leasing the land from the council in 1958. The land originally transferred to the council by the War Department in 1956, was returned to the council when the lease was surrendered in 2022.

The site has since been cleared, and now offers a blank canvas close to the popular Elmdon Park. It may be suitable for educational, community, or residential development, subject to planning consents.

Both sites will appear alongside scores of other properties in Bond Wolfe’s next auction, which begins at 8.30am on Thursday 10 July.

The auction will be live-streamed via Bond Wolfe’s website, with remote bidding available by proxy, telephone, or internet.
