Wide range of homes across Birmingham priced from £24k to £190k up for auction

House hunters will be attracted to a wide range of homes across Birmingham priced from £24,000 to £190,000 at Bond Wolfe’s next auction on 9 September.

A mid-terraced house at 90 Southgate Road in Great Barr is one of the lowest priced lots in the city going under the hammer at the live-streamed auction.

This three-bedroomed home stands back from the road behind a front garden and has two reception rooms, a kitchen and rear lean-to downstairs, with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.

The leasehold property has double-glazing but needs modernisation, which means its guide price* is just £24,000 to £29,000.

At the other end of the scale is large four-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 705 Coventry Road in Small Heath, with a guide price £190,000+.

Although this property needs some improvement, its attractions include a hall, three reception rooms, dining kitchen, rear lobby and bathroom downstairs, with three bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs and a fourth bedroom on the second floor.

With front and back gardens, central heating and double glazing throughout, this lot is potentially suitable for conversion to a house of multiple occupancy or other uses, subject to planning.

Elsewhere in the city are houses priced everywhere in between, with a three-bedroomed, mid-terraced at 63 Bracebridge Road, Erdington coming with a £70,000+ guide price.

This property has a traditional layout and gardens front and back, although its guide price does reflect the need for modernisation.

Another mid-terraced house that again needs refurbishment is at 59 Greenwood Place, Great Barr, with a guide price of £79,000+.

This two-bedroomed property has front and back gardens, an extra outside toilet as well as an upstairs bathroom, along with central heating and double-glazing.

Across the city in the sought-after suburb of Harborne is a two-bedroomed, mid-terraced house at 39 Northfield Road, with a guide price of £99,000+.

This property has gardens front and back, central heating and double glazing, and is within two miles of the University of Birmingham and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, although some renovations are needed.

Back across the city at 90 Caldwell Road, just north of Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and down the road from Stechford railway station, is a smart four-bedroomed house.

This semi-detached property has gardens front and back, a driveway, porch, hall, two reception rooms, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom downstairs, and three bedrooms and a second toilet upstairs, and comes with a guide price of £150,000+.

Mr Bassi added: “We’re expecting some competitive bidding from potential buyers at our auction, who often include a variety of house-hunters, developers and landlords looking to grow their portfolios.”

The Birmingham homes are just a few of the 211 lots listed in Bond Wolfe’s next auction which starts at 9am on Thursday 9 September.

The auction will be livestreamed via Bond Wolfe’s website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only, and bidders must pre-register no later than 12 noon on Wednesday 8 September.
